THIS week, the Buzz will be stepping into the Gospel realm with focus being on the gospel group YADAH. YADAH is Hebrew for ‘To worship with extended hands’. The group, which recently performed at Saumel Medas’ album launch two Fridays ago, comprises four members, three of whom are girls.

The eldest of the group is Melissa Vandeyar, 24, who is in her third year at the University of Guyana (UG) studying Public Management.
The second girl in the group is 22-year-old Judea Chester of Linden, who has been singing since she was seven.
Judea is in her final year at UG studying biology. She intends to be a biologist after finishing her studies.
Next, there’s Judea’s sister, 20-year-old Jevana Chester, who is also a UG student and a budding environmental scientist.
The last member of the group and the only male is Ronnel Gonsalves, 20, who’s been in showbiz since the age of 12, and is majoring in International Relations.
The Buzz asked each member of this young but talented group where they each see themselves in the next five years. The answers followed the same pattern: Solo albums from each of the four, as well as singles, and, of course, multiple group albums.
However, on the personal side, Ms. Vandeyar said she just wanted to be successful in every area of her life, while Mr. Gonsalves saw himself as an international artiste within the five-year period.
The elder of the dynamic Chester sisters sees herself starting her own company, whilst the younger of the two and the youngest member of the group, though a bit undecided, sees herself doing something in the environmental science field.
The group recently returned to Guyana after a successful ten-day tour of Mexico, where they performed songs written by the group as well as other popular Gospel songs.
With God as their focus and the captain of each of their ships, bright successful futures await them, and the Buzz will continue to track the progress of this captivating and group breaking group. Watch out Guyana! Here comes YADAH!
