FORTY-year-old Reaz Bacchus of Lot 87 Fourth Avenue, Subryanville, Georgetown was yesterday granted bail in the sum of $50,000 when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on a fraudulent conversion charge.The charge against the defendant stated that between May 5 and 8, 2014, at Kitty, he obtained some $650,000 from Gavin Williams to acquire a house lot, but converted the money to his own use.

Bacchus pleaded not guilty to the charge, and was granted bail in the sum of $50,000.The matter has been adjourned to January 18, 2016.
