BVI-based, Guyanese Oliver Lewis, who is accused of performing sexual acts on a 13 year-old boy, will know his fate later this week.Charged with eight counts of indecency with a child, Lewis reappeared in court on Monday expecting that the decision on the case would have been handed down. However, Magistrate Ayanna Baptiste-Dabreo indicated that she was in a position to render her decision, but the prosecutor noted that she has an application to make and she does not foresee any objections coming from the defence.
The magistrate said she will let her decision be known later in the week. Lewis, 35, a native of Guyana and a Computer Technician, is also accused of influencing the minor to perform sexual acts on him. Lewis is on bail and is represented by Attorney-At-Law Stephen Daniels. It is alleged that the incidents took place between April and June 2013 at Lambert and Mount Healthy where Lewis performed the sexual acts, including oral sex on the high school student. He also allegedly influenced the boy to perform oral sex and other acts on him (Lewis). The teen had also testified during the trial.
