Four teams taste victory on fourth night of Guinness Futsal

Upsetters, Albouystown A, West Front Road and Alexander Village were the only teams to taste victory on the fourth night of the 2015/16 Guinness Greatest In Da Street Futsal Competition Georgetown League at the Albouystown basketball court.Like their name suggests, Upsetters upset West Back Road 2 – 1. West Back Road drew first blood in the 3rd minute when Josiah Charles scored. However, Orlando Ricketts found the equaliser in the 14th minute, and then Joshua Britton gave them the lead in the following minute. West Back Road searched but the equaliser evaded, giving Upsetters a welcome three points.

West Front Road salvaged a 1 – 0 victory over East Front Road with Hubert Pedro scoring the decider in the 9th minute.

In the Costello Housing Scheme versus Alexander Village showdown, a 2nd-minute strike from Chavez Lescott was all it took to give the latter the win. Albouystown A also needled Queen Street Tiger Bay following Osafo Peters’ 18th-minute goal.

The other battles were all draws. Laing Avenue and South Sophia battled to a 1-1 result while Back Circle’s match with Broad Street Bullies ended with the same score line.

Meanwhile, the matches that were goalless draws were Old School Ballers versus Cross Street and Albouystown B versus Stevedore Housing Scheme.

The action resumes tonight with eight matches at the Cultural Centre Tarmac. In match one Sophia South meets Upsetters then Young Ballers faces Island Allstars, Hope Street Tiger Bay goes up against Stevedore Housing Scheme and Queen Street Tiger Bay battles Jamoon Drive to complete half of the programme.

The latter half of the night will see Bent Street versus South Ruimveldt, Festival City Street Fighters versus Shopping Plaza, Gold Star versus Broad Street Bullies and Sparta Boss versus Back Circle to cap off the evening.

Kick off time is 19.00 hrs.
