Jaguars and Pride third round PCL battle beings today

GUYANA Jaguars commence battle with rivals Barbados Pride today in round three of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) Professional Cricket League (PCL) Regional Four-Day Tournament at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence. The defending champions, Jaguars, are on top of the points table after two rounds with 35 points while Pride follow in second position with 25 points. Guyana recorded two consecutive victories while Pride have one win and an incomplete match under their belt.
Veerasammy Permaul and Javon Searles come into the Guyana Jaguars 13-man squad to replace Rajendra Chandrika and Christopher Barnwell respectively for the match.
Chandrika joins the West Indies squad for a Test series in Australia while Barnwell suffers a back injury. Permaul, the region’s leading wicket-taker for the past two tournaments, missed the first-round and the second-round matches nursing an ankle injury.
