A WALTON Hall Village, Essequibo Coast housewife has proudly harvested a tannia which weighs in excess of eight pounds. According to Mrs Jenetta Lall,the tannia was planted in a cool place several months ago in her garden and was harvested during Agriculture Month. She said that her prized tannia comes out of the government’s grow more food drive.
And Mrs Lall is encouraging all housewives to follow the government’s grow more food drive and plant in order to become self-sufficient in farm fresh food.
