Awaz Ali, were heading to Long Creek on the Soesdyke-Linden Highway to visit another relative around midday yesterday.
At the time, she was in the back seat with the infant and one of her relatives, when suddenly they heard a sound “like the tire blew out,” and then the vehicle began toppling several times.
According to her, upon gaining consciousness, she recalled seeing her relative next to her and tried to get him out of the vehicle and persons later rushed them to the Diamond Hospital.
Young Aiden was later pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital, while the driver of the vehicle, up to late last evening, was said to be nursing injuries.
However, Allana and her relative are back home safe but in grief.
