President David Granger addressed residents of the Pomeroon at Charity

PRESIDENT David Granger has told Pomeroon farmers that the country must not be tied to exporting raw materials alone, but must add value to products.Speaking at the handing over ceremony of a school boat at Charity last Friday, the President said Pomeroon has the best coconut water in the country, and is the king of coconuts.

He called for Region Two to get more involved in agro-processing, and for value to be added to products like rice crisps, coconut oil and sugar cake.

Deeming the Pomeroon-Supenaam community rich and fertile and having great potential, the President called on residents to become entrepreneurs and add to the development of the Region.
