TWO fields of cannabis sativa, also known as Marijuana, were destroyed yesterday by police ranks after a drug eradication operation uncovered the find in the Mahaica Backdam, on the East Coast of Demerara.About 200 ‘ganja’ plants ranging in height from one foot to ten feet, along with a quantity of dried marijuana were also uncovered and destroyed, a police press release noted yesterday. No arrests have since been made in relation to the find.
