The promotion was launched in September 2014, and entailed super savings from a 25% discount on selected items and a complimentary trip for two to beautiful Aruba.

The drawing for the winners was done at the company’s main office in Providence, East Bank Demerara and the lucky ticket was pulled by Caterpillar representative Elizabeth Bell. The winners, as explained, will enjoy a one-week stay in the beautiful island with hotel and airfare expenses being covered by MACORP.

MACORP also officially distributed certification to five of their employees that completed different areas of training, which will aid in developing their skills and hence improve the services available for customers.

Arlington Paez and Marco Atencio received certificates in the Caterpillar online University Pro-miner Certification.

Satranie Lakram and Perry Yhap both received Machine Sales Manager certifications and Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) certifications, while Suresh Jagdeo received a Machine PSSR Machine Fundamental Certificate and Satranie Lakram also received a Parts Counter Personnel certificate.
Through all its years of operation in Guyana, MACORP has been very active in the country’s development, contributing directly with technical support and equipment supply to the most important productive sectors – mining, agriculture, road construction, and basic industry, marine, forestry and electrical power generation.

MACORP has established locations at Bartica and Port Kaituma with their head office located at Providence.

For 20 years, MACORP has been the only authorised Caterpillar dealer here, leading Guyana’s development and fuelling the success of its stakeholders by directly providing integral Equipment and Product Support Solutions.

MACORP has also been rewarded for its outstanding performance and contributions to the development of Guyana and for the professional training of its employees.
