SOCA sensation Jumo Primo released his newest song, titled ‘Unruly’ on Monday which is his entry for the upcoming Soca Monarch competition.

The ‘high energy’ song was launched on the local airwaves and so far, according to Primo, it has received favourable responses by fans and others.

He added that he will release a video for the song named ‘They like talk’, which was previously launched.

Primo, called ‘Rubber Waist’, stated that he is very pleased with the feedback he got for his latest song and it is the right music for Mashramani since it is an upbeat soca vibe with a hint of humour, which has readied him for his entrance in the 2015 Soca Monarch competition.

He told this publication that the semi-finals will be held in Berbice, while the finals will be held at the National Park in Georgetown, and he is very optimistic that he will place highly in those competitions among the 18 participants.

Primo, a two-time Soca Monarch winner who placed second in 2014, said his video will be released in Berbice today via the radio and he is feeling very energetic and his performance will be similar on stage for the competition as well.

With a renewed outlook, Primo said he is Mr. Mash this year since his song is ideal for setting the mode for enjoyment and his song is all about sheer enjoyment of one’s self through dancing to the song, ‘Unruly’.

He however, expressed his gratitude to his fans, his supporters, his family and the Phenomenal Dance School for their continued support since 2012.
