… sponsors T20 Cricket and Football winning trophies

KNOWN for his generosity along with having a die-hard passion for sports, Ramesh Sunich, proprietor of Trophy Stall, threw his support behind the inaugural Guyana Festival T20 Cricket and Football matches. Set for the Guyana National Stadium on Sunday, August 10, the T20 Cricket match will feature some of the brightest stars of the game rubbing shoulders with those of yesteryear. Bowl-off time is 16:00hrs.
From 19:00 hrs, Slingerz Football Club, one of Guyana’s top teams, will collide with the Guyana Defence Force.
Minister of Tourism Irfaan Ali received the trophies on behalf of the Guyana Festival and thanked Sunich for his involvement in what he believes will be a memorable event.
Over the years, Sunich and Trophy Stall have been stellar supporters of the endeavours of the Ministry of Tourism and have continued to demonstrate their commitment towards the continued development within the sector.
This inaugural event will feature an exhibition during opening hours and concerts in the evening. The exhibition will showcase craft, art, culinary delights, Coney Island, celebrity tents, demonstration tents among others.
Festival components include the Opening Ceremony today from 17:00hrs, featuring an Air Show which also comprises various dramatic performances.
The Festival will continue tomorrow and will feature the Night of Guyana’s Legends – some of Guyana’s stars who contributed to the local music industry.
On Sunday August 10, the Concert Next will be staged along with a National Cookout. This concert will promote the future faces of Guyana’s music industry and help to develop new/young talent.
The likes of Jomo, First Born, Vanilla and local dancehall sensation Jory will take the stage.
