–at city minibus parks

THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) has, within the past two weeks, conducted operations at the minibus parks in Georgetown, during which some 80 persons were arrested for soliciting persons for public transportation.So far 65 of them have been placed before the courts while 15 of them failed to appear and arrest warrants have been issued for them. The other 50 matters are engaging the courts.

Meanwhile, the operation will be continuing in efforts to bring some order at the minibus parks.
