The Ministry of Finance has announced that the Budget 2014 Estimates Volumes 1 -3 and the Minister’s Budget Speech 2014 titled “A Better Guyana for All Guyanese” are now available on the Ministry’s website www.finance.gy.gov .Government has made these important documents available to the public, and to the world, as part of its continued commitment to transparency, inclusivity and openness to its citizenry. The estimates include all of Government’s expected revenues and spending allocations for the current fiscal year.
The National Budget Estimates contains specific programs and initiatives proposed by Government in keeping with its commitment to continued development of Guyana’s physical, social and economic infrastructure.
This year’s budget remains the largest to date at $220B and was first presented to the National Assembly on March 24, 2014. Debates of the estimates will begin on Monday March 31, 2014.
