All Seasons reign supreme in Sunflower Jewellery dominoes

REIGNING F&H countrywide champions All Seasons Racing Service (ASRS) made light work of their rivals to emerge winners of the Sunflower Jewellery-sponsored three-way aggregate dominoes tournament which climaxed at Ernest Shop, Canal Number One, West Bank Demerara last Monday.

Entering the final leg, on 151 games, a mere four games ahead of Canal Six (147) and International Six (146), ASRS showed why they are considered one of the better teams around as they romped to a comfortable victory with 82 games, leaving their opponents on 72 games each.
With that win, ASRS ended clear winners with 233 games with Canal Six occupying the second spot on 219 and a depleted International Six in the cellar on 216. A few of International Six key players missed the final leg.
The top players for ASRS were John Freeman with 17 games, skipper Frankie Seaforth and David Bennett with 15 games each and Raymond Alli with 14.
For Canal Six, Buddy Pretipaul and Scotty Ramroop made 15 games each while Avinash Persaud got 14.
Ron Callender who played through for International Six, totalled 25 games in his six sittings while Edmund Sammy and captain Manniram Shew scored 14 and 13 games respectively.
Trophies were presented to the winning and second-place teams as well as the top three players in the winning team, the top two in the second and the top in the third.
ASRS top three players were Bennett (44 games), Freeman (42 games) and Frankie Seaforth (40 games). For Canal Six, Chibar Seopaul topped with 41 games while Scotty Ramroop played two sittings and made 27 games, Edmund Sammy led the way for International Six with 42 games.
