Three wounded in Ghetto Flex Bar shooting

THREE persons were shot and injured when a quarrel turned violent early yesterday morning in ‘Ghetto Flex Bar’ at Albouys and James Streets, Albouystown, Georgetown.Police said it happened about 01:45 hrs when Andy Bharrat, 39, of Albouys Street, became involved in an argument with a group of men at the bar.
During the verbal exchanges, the men pulled out firearms and discharged several rounds that resulted in Bharrat being wounded in his back.
Nikita Glasgow, 28, of East Ruimveldt and Courtney Sandy, 28, of Light Street, also in the city, were struck on their left feet.
Bharrat has been admitted to a private hospital while the other two victims were treated at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) and sent away.
Investigations into the incidents are in progress and the business place where they occurred remained closed yesterday.
The owners were not around and nearby residents declined to speak to the media. (Michel Outridge)
