Like mother like son

BEFORE I go into my discourse with you today, I would like to make a slight correction to a letter penned by yours truly under the caption, “Gross hypocrisy exist in legal circles”. In that letter I mistakenly named the judge as Justice Dawn Gregory; rather it should have read Justice Roxanne George. I sincerely apologise to Justice Dawn Gregory for this mistake which was not an intentional act on my part nor did I in any way about to perpetuate malice or ill will towards the judge.

I now move on to our discussion for today. There seems to be a campaign to derail the course of justice for little Kimanie Watson and one of the ways in doing so is to appeal to the unethical reporting of a trashy newspaper.
As reported in the Kaieteur News under the title, “Sodomising of two year old… private medical report clears prime suspect”, is a sure way in getting this sick defence across. I am not so sure of that, my take on the whole affair is a depraved mother, son and very much so newspaper, all of them, a sick sadistic bunch of liars. They, in their demonic, self-proclaimed innocence, are trying another desperate attempt to drag society into their mess.
But I would advise Kaieteur News and its clients to think again, we are here to seek out justice for the dead baby girl. We seek after the rights of the child and those rights we will get. We are not in the least impressed by their nonsensical theatrics; we want justice for little Kimanie.

Like the city of Georgetown where garbage certainly smells and sells in a similar vein, that tabloid (Kaieteur News) is desperate to get its garbage sold. Some people just don’t get it, they have no shame.

But I know where they are going with that story. It comes under the guise that the accused party’s story must be heard. Their version of the events must be told. They are also holding fast to the theory that someone is innocent until proven guilty no matter how heinous the crime is. Fine, but amidst all that fancy footwork they must be mindful of the glaring evidence mounted against them. A 15-year-old uncle left in charge of his two-year-old niece who later turns up dead, brutally sodomized, then who did it?  The rhetorical answer is a phantom. “There’s something evil in this house troubling the child,” as they put it. What nonsense! Even if we are to believe that phantom story what can a two-year old infant do to mutilate herself in such a horrific way? Kaieteur News and that mother must realise that the public out there are not stupid nor are they morally corrupt; they know what constitutes guilt even  beyond the shadow of a doubt.

I will close by saying, “like mother like son’. Miss Graham is shielding her son to the very end, crying out to gain attention and sympathy from the public for a (suspected) maniacal monster. My only problem is what is taking the justice system so long? Charges should have already been made and the matter well into trial stage, especially in light of the fact that this mother is (allegedly) contemplating the disappearing act for her son. Let me quote her utterances in that Kaieteur report: “Many times I have to send my son far away.” That is a clear statement of intent which should not be taken lightly. I am therefore calling on the DPP to treat this matter with the urgency it deserves.
