Hail falls on Blueberry Hill

Folks at Blueberry Hill , Linden, were shocked last evening during a thunder storm when they heard what seemed to be stones hitting their roofs. One woman ran outside and found that bits of ice as big as tennis balls were lying on the ground. Another resident spoke of some pieces of ice as big as footballs.Hailwas falling on the community. Some residents became scared at the phenomenon and unplugged their electrical appliances and waited out the strange experience. It was reported that the electric company that serves the area shut down for a while.About one hour later the ‘stones’ stopped falling and for a little longer it was just the familiar rain that came from the heavens.

Looking back at the experience, one woman said “Thank God it’s over and we’re all safe and sound.”
