EMPRETEC Guyana Inc. in collaboration with the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) will be hosting a series of Customer Service Workshops targeting customer service representatives, supervisors and managers under the theme “Embracing Customer Service – A Responsibility for Everyone”.

These workshops are being organised following an increasing demand by key stakeholders in the business community for an enhancement in customer service delivery in the public and private sectors.
The workshops will be designed in a unique way to enhance participants’ knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the value of good customer service for their company and customer. Some of the benefits that will be derived include consistently delivering exceptional customer service, developing customer loyalty and building satisfaction, becoming accountable to customers and critical communication skills required to develop and retain exceptional service. A certificate of participation will be presented to each person who attends the sessions.
The workshops will be held at the Cheddi Jagan Research Centre, Red House, High Street, Kingston over a three-day period. There is a cost attached and the schedule is as follows: Customer Service Representatives: Tuesday September 24th, from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs; Supervisors: Wednesday September 25th, from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs; and Managers: Thursday September 26th,   from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs.

On 13th June, 2003 the Government of Guyana, the United Nations and the Guyana Manufacturers’ Association launched the EMPRETEC Guyana Project which was designed to equip small business operators with entrepreneurial skills to effectively execute profitable business ventures.  Today, EMPRETEC has evolved into a Not-for-Profit institution operating under license from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), with a focus on entrepreneurship and business development training.
