With whereabouts unknown… : Crime Chief urges Carolan Lynch to contact Police

CRIME Chief Seelall Persaud reported Tuesday that despite a wanted bulletin issued by the Guyana Police Force (GPF), the whereabouts of fugitive Carolan Lynch remain unknown. However, he urged the woman to come forward since she did not make any contact with the police and he asked persons, who may know of her location, to assist in finding her.

Persaud said checks at her Georgetown home revealed that the house was secured and appears as though it had not been occupied for sometime.
Last Friday, Police said Lynch is wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of her husband, former Swiss House Cambio owner Farouk Razack.
Anyone with information that may lead to the arrest of Lynch is asked to telephone the Police on numbers 225-6411, 225-2227, 226-7065, 227-1149, 911 or report to the nearest Police station.
The Police assured that all information supplied will be treated with strict confidence.
The wanted woman is described as of mixed race, medium built, fair complexion and her last known address was Lot 106 Ireng Place, Bel Air Park, Georgetown.
Meanwhile, in a press release on Monday, Roraima Airways said Lynch was contracted by the company as a temporary staff and acted in a supervisory capacity.

NEVER KNOWINGLY
Roraima said it would like to firmly state and clarify that it would never knowingly employ a person who is wanted by the law. The release added that, from public records and as far as the company was aware, the case against Lynch was dismissed and, further, it was not aware that there was a current arrest warrant issued for her.

Roraima said Lynch also confirmed, with its Human Resource Department during her interview, that all legal matters against her were dismissed by the High Court. At the time she was interviewed, her address on her application form was confirmed by the company as her current place of abode, Roraima said.
The former beauty queen was arrested following the murder of her husband, Razack, at their home in 2007.
However, in 2008, then Magistrate Gordon Gilhuys had dismissed the murder charge but Lynch was re-arrested and the charge for the same offence was reinstituted.
In 2010, after she failed to appear before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, on several occasions, an arrest warrant was issued, followed by a police wanted bulletin.
An autopsy had established that Razack died from strangulation.
