‘Sheriff Bar’ to host ‘Vocal Supremacy Karaoke Competition’ –smashing cash prizes up for grabs

ALL karaoke lovers can now enjoy the fruits of their vocal supremacy, if they partake in the upcoming massive ‘Vocal Supremacy Karaoke Competition’ now in full swing at the Sheriff Nightclub and Bar on Sheriff Street, Georgetown.

altStaged by the owners of the bar, this competition will showcase a smashing first prize of $80,000, while the second and third place winners would receive $50,000 and $25,000 respectively.
The contest kicked off last Sunday, and will run for another four weeks before the eventual top three winners are decided. And quite fittingly, the audience will be allowed to adjudicate in this competition. The actual winners will be decided by crowd response after each contestant would have performed.alt
Competitors are required to pay an entrance fee of $1000, and are expected to choose two songs for performance purposes. The first song, which will be the ‘warm up’ entry, will not be judged, but will serve as a little ‘vocal stirring up’ for the singers. The second song, however, is the one that will be judged by the audience, and will determine the actual winners.
Each week, singers will be eliminated from the competition until the top ten finalists are determined, who would face off for the final showdown.

This event serves as a springboard for a series of other ventures to be staged at the club. Those will include belly dancing, drama, stand-up comedy, and much more.
The final leg of the Miss Bootilicious Reloaded Lingerie Pageant is also slated for the same venue at a date to be announced later.
Meanwhile, the Sheriff Nightclub and Bar continues to offer karaoke sessions all week; and, of course, their After Work Lime, Saturday Night Fever Parties, and the Sunday Oldies Fantasia are solid fixtures.
