THE family members and relatives of hospitalised 21-year old Bibi Nazarena Houston and her now dead two children, five-year old Kimberly Houston and two-year old Tarif Lord are now becoming very frustrated with the police at the Leonora Police Station, West Coast Demerara which represents the headquarters of the police “D “ Division.

On Saturday, the relatives of the two children who were fatally chopped by their father and who caused the mother of the children to be hospitalised may have revisited the home to remove personal items, and that is very scary for those living in the yard.
The mother of Ms. Houston explained to this publication that after the police had revisited the home and indicated to them that it was all right to enter and  begin their cleaning up, they realised that the man’s things were still in the house and were packed and placed in a corner.
However, when they checked in the house on Friday they noticed that the man’s bag with his clothing was missing as well as a pair of sneakers and two birth certificates which they had all packed up and placed in a corner after the home was cleaned.
In addition to that, the trouser which the man was wearing when he committed the act on Wednesday afternoon and which he was wearing when he fled the scene has mysteriously appeared from the home.
The family is of the strong view that the man may have regained entry to the home by using a window to the side of the house and may have pulled that stunt when his in-laws were in the upper flat of the house which is located to the front of the yard and were locked within.
On Saturday, the mother of the hospitalised woman related that they are convinced also, that the man may have been in the area ever since he committed the act and was watching the movements of the family.
One of the woman’s sisters explained that when they were searching for the man in the bushes which is located aback the house where the incident occurred; they noticed freshly cut bushes which suggested that someone had been camping out in the area.
The family is now calling on the police to be a bit more alert, given that the man’s initial threats were that he was going to ensure that his reputed wife and children die before he kills himself.
On Sunday, Ms. Houston’s mother related that she is now afraid to bring her daughter back to the home when she is discharged, since they are convinced that he is well aware that the woman is alive and he will stick around to ensure that he ends her life before taking his own.
Relatives said that they have reported the latest development to a member of the community policing group who was in the area recently. They said that it was their hope that he would convey the information to his superiors since whenever they call the station they are given the royal push around about the absence of ranks or unavailability of a vehicle to travel to the area.
A post-mortem performed on the body of the children revealed that they died from shock and haemorrhage. They were laid to rest on Saturday in accordance with Muslim rites.
On Wednesday last, 21 year old Bibi Nazarena Houston and her two children, five year old Kimberly Houston and two year old Tarif Lord of lot 867 Brother Dam Squatting area, Zeelugt, East Bank Essequibo were rushed to the Leonora Cottage Hospital after they received severe chop wounds about the body by their father who had been sharing a common law relationship with their mother for the past seven years.
The children were pronounced dead on arrival, while Bibi Houston was admitted for the wounds she sustained, even as their assailant went into hiding.
