PRESIDENT Donald Ramotar is scheduled to attend the Berbice Expo 2013 tomorrow at the Albion Sports Complex on the Corentyne.
President of the Central Corentyne Chamber of Commerce [CCCC] Mr. Leekha Rambrich, during a media tour of the exhibition site yesterday, said the event provides opportunities for smaller businesses to identify who are the market leaders in their respective fields, learn from their experiences and emulate their successes.
The exhibition runs until July 29.
Yesterday, workers were erecting several booths and installing lights in the main auditorium, where the majority of the exhibitors will be placed.
In a discourse, Rambrich noted that the agriculture based region will benefit from the services of a new company, ‘Modern Agri‘, which will be demonstrating modern techniques in agriculture and their benefits to farmers.
Manufacturers involved include Nand Persad, Namilco, NPG Packing, and Guyana Manufacturing Association. AINLIM will have on display several new agricultural machinery, including a new cannon spray, an alternative to the can spray used to dispense insecticide on cultivation plots.
Live entertainment will be provided by a band, a stand-up comedian and fireworks.
