Guyana will be featuring the works of three artists in Oswald Hoosein, Betsy Karim and Aneeze Coelho; and most of the works to be displayed consist of wooden sulphurs, with some paintings.
There will also be on display pieces and works from various organisations, such as the Guyana Women Artists Association, the Guyana United Artists, the University of Guyana, and the Main Street Artist Group.
Disappointingly, the E.R Burrowes School of Art has, to date, not submitted any contribution to this festival, but artworks from Guyana’s overseas-based artist Ivor Thom will also be featured at this event, and are expected to be among the quality pieces on showcase.
For the first time ever, this visual arts exhibition will feature a catalogue printed in English and French, Gajadhar said. This will explain the works of the artists, thus helping to generate more interest among attendees of the festival.
