Route march Saturday to mark GPF 174th anniversary

THE Guyana Police Force (GPF) will be undertaking a route march, commencing at 06:30 hrs on Saturday, July 6, as part of its 174th Anniversary Celebrations.

The walk, involving 29 units, will be under the command of Assistant Commissioner Eric Bassant, assisted by Senior Superintendent Ian Amsterdam.
Along the way, salutes will be taken by Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Clement Rohee, outside his Brickdam Ministry and Acting Police Commissioner Leroy Brumell, in front of Force Headquarters, Eve Leary.
The marchers would start from the Tactical Services Unit (TSU) Drill Square, Eve Leary, proceed East in Young Street, South into Parade Street, East into Lamaha Street, South into Waterloo Street, East into Regent Street, South into Camp Street, West into Brickdam, North into Avenue of the Republic, East into Church Street, North into Cummings Street, West into Lamaha Street, North into Camp Street, West into Young Street and into Police Headquarters.
Back at the TSU Square, the ranks will be addressed by Brumell.
