APNU expresses condolences – calls on Health Ministry, GGMC to investigate tragic accident at Bosai

A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) issued a statement yesterday expressing its deep sadness at the loss of life of three employees of the BOSAI Mining Company earlier yesterday in the vicinity of the East Montgomery Mines.

“APNU extends its deepest sympathy to the relatives, friends and loved ones of Michael Williams, Linden Trenton Gardner and Kester Grant,” the party stated.
APNU also joined with residents of the Upper Demerara-Berbice Region in mourning this tragic loss of life and called on the Ministry of Health to mount an investigation to determine if any Occupational Health and Safety standards were breached and on the Geology and Mines Commission to look into this incident so as to ensure that best practices for operational safety are being employed by BOSAI.
