DCC congratulates Lloyd

JUST last week, former Guyana and West Indies skipper Clive Lloyd was appointed as one of the members of the newly constituted Marketing and Business Development Committee of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).

To this regard, the Alfred Mentore-steward Demerara Cricket Club (DCC), where Lloyd honed his skills in his early days before going on to represent Guyana, the West Indies and Lancashire, saw it fit to extend congratulations to the man who was nicknamed the ‘Super Cat’ in his playing days.
Below is the full congratulatory message from the Lance Gibbs Street-based DCC:
“On behalf of the Executives and Members of the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) we wish to congratulate former West Indies captain, Clive Lloyd on his new appointment as a member of the newly constituted Marketing and Business Development Committee of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB)
We are sure, that given your international reputation, organisational skills, easy- going personality, insight and ideas you will be an asset to your fellow honourable colleagues and the WICB.
All DCC members are very proud of you, and the whole of Guyana stand together in wishing you all the best in this new endeavour.”
