Eighty exhibitors already confirmed for Building Expo 2013- Myrna Pitt

ALREADY 80 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in this year’s Building and Construction Expo, the largest set of participants in the past four years, says Chief Executive Officer of the Central Housing and Planning Authority, Myrna Pitt.

altIn an exclusive interview with the Guyana Chronicle yesterday, Ms. Pitt noted that plans are well advanced for this Expo which will be held from July 5 – 7, 2013 at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara. The official launch will take place on May 31st at the nearby Princess Hotel.
The CEO disclosed that they have received a 100 percent response so far from exhibitors and their corporate sponsors.
This year, she added, the Housing Ministry’s Building and Construction Exposition will be bigger and better with a difference, offering lots of surprises and of course citizens will definitely benefit from the range of displays.
There will be much focus on new and innovative approaches in the construction sector so that consumers will have a wider array of choices.
Minister of Housing and Water, Irfaan Ali had noted earlier that this exposition has taken on a life of its own and is much anticipated by Guyanese citizens, especially the private sector. The inaugural building and construction expo was held in August 2010. It is an event that brings together home owners, prospective home owners and entities from the construction, manufacturing and services sectors.
The event also attracts exhibitors from the Region and farther afield such as the USA, Canada, Russia and China.
