LEROY Williams was, yesterday, ordered to post a total of $100,000 bail on two charges.
The defendant, 22, of Lot 51 Norton Street, Lodge, Georgetown, pleaded not guilty to the charges, one of which said, on May 17, he unlawfully assaulted Samantha Chase so as to cause her actual bodily harm.
Particulars of the other charge said, on December 17, 2012, in Norton Street, he stole a cell phone, valued $50,000, from Chase.
Police Prosecutor Alexis David-Hossanah told the Court that Williams and Chase are friends and that the former has always been stalking the latter.
According to the Prosecutor, several reports have been made at Alberttown Police Station about Williams, who is a known character to the Police and there are, presently, a number of robbery under arms charges against him.
Williams claimed he and Chase have been living home for seven months but she denied it.
He has to lodge $75,000 surety on the simple larceny charge and $25,000 in the assault case.
As a condition of his pre-trial liberty, Williams was advised to stay away from Chase and he must return to Court on June 12.
