SOOKRANIA Shivnauth, a resident of Hope West Enmore, East Coast Demerara appeared on Thursday before Vigilance Magistrate Zamilla Alli to answer two charges;

the first stating that on Tuesday, April 30, she verbally abused Sahodra Shivnauth; the second alleging that on the same day she also threatened Sahodra Shivnauth, whereby a breach of the peace may have been occasioned.

Although the precursor to the incident was not ventilated in open court, the magistrate, after taking all factors into account, granted the 40-year-old housewife of Lot 102 Hope West Enmore $5,000 bail on the abusive language charge, and $10,000 bail on the threatening behaviour charge. Her case was then set for report later in the month.
