LESLIE Springer, 38, of Lot 600 ‘A’ Field, Guyhoc Park , Georgetown, has been charged with possession of a narcotic.
He pleaded not guilty when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday.
Particulars of the offence said, on Monday, April 15, at Upper Mazaruni River, he had seven grammes of cannabis (marijuana).
On an application by attorney-at-law Ms. Latchmi Rahaman, the defendant was granted $50,000 bail and the case was transferred to the Kamarang Magistrates’ Court for June 7.
