In three murder probes… : No arrest yet for killing of domino enthusiast

CRIME Chief Seelall Persaud said, yesterday, that no arrests have yet been made for the murder of dominoes enthusiast Orin Joseph. The man was gunned down in front of his Lot 1222 Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown home, on Sunday night, during an electricity blackout.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law Enforcement) said that the wife of the deceased, Faye Joseph heard explosions and, when she went to enquire what had happened, she saw her mortally wounded husband lying on the road.
The well-known businessman was rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) where he succumbed while receiving treatment.
Persaud said Joseph was relieved of a gold chain and a gold band but no motive for the killing has been established.
A domino competition had just concluded at his home when the gunmen fired several shots and one hit Joseph in the abdomen before the shooters left the scene on a motorcycle.
Joseph had gone out of his yard to bring back his car from where he had taken it to accommodate the players under his house, when he was attacked by the two killers.
