A MAN is in police custody following the murder of a miner at Imbaimadai yesterday.

The body of miner, Robert Hunter, 48, of Paratown Settlement, Imbaimadai was found along a trail at 07:30hrs yesterday with suspected stab wounds to the neck and chest.
Police said Hunter had earlier been involved in an argument over alcohol with a man at a night spot while they were imbibing.
Meanwhile, police reported that two miners were killed in separate incidents in the interior on Friday last – one was shot in the head and the other stabbed in the back.
