MANAGER of Red Dragon Night Club, Raymond Ali also called ‘Clement’, 61, of Lot 15 Delhi Street, Prashad Nagar, Georgetown, has been charged with human trafficking.
He appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell on Friday on the indictable charge which said he trafficked a female Brazilian juvenile. Particulars of the offence said, between June 1 and June 30, 2011, at Red Dragon Hotel on Robb Street, also in the city, he kept the girl there for the purpose of exploitation.
Police Sergeant Alexis David-Hossannah, prosecuting, had no objection and the accused was granted $300,000 bail.
The case will be called, again, on May 20.
Meanwhile, another man, Selwyn Lewis nicknamed ‘Selly’, who is charged with the same crime did not make an appearance in court.
