THE police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred at about 17:00 hrs on Friday last on the Canefield Public Road, East Canje, Berbice, and which resulted in the death of motor cyclist Ganesh Persaud, 25 years, of Strand Road, New Amsterdam. The Police Force, in a statement yesterday, said investigations revealed that the driver of motor car, HB 2841, was proceeding along the roadway when it is alleged that Ganesh Persaud, who was driving at a fast rate, lost control of the motor cycle and collided with the motor car.
He later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the motor car is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
