Clarke suffers gastro blow

AUSTRALIAN cricket captain Michael Clarke has been hospitalised overnight with a bout of gastroenteritis.

Clarke was reportedly taken to hospital in an ambulance on Sunday night but a Cricket Australia statement said that he has since been discharged and is recovering at home.
The skipper is the second Australian player to suffer from the illness in the past two weeks, with spinner Glenn Maxwell also reporting stomach problems during the fourth Test against India in Delhi.
The incident adds to a poor couple of weeks for Clarke, whose back and hamstring issues kept him out of the last Test on the subcontinent. (CA)
