THE Ministry of Public Works will begin paying passengers from March 25 who had purchased tickets from EZjet in Guyana, and who had submitted claims for re-imbursement. The ministry, in a release, stated that the payment will be made from the security bond that was paid to the ministry. The ministry will pay those who have satisfied the criteria, following completion of the verification process.
Due to the large number of requests for re-imbursement and the amount available for payout, persons will be refunded 64% of the cost of their tickets, the ministry said.
Payment will commence on Monday from 09:00hrs up to 11:00hrs, and from 13:00hrs to 15:00hrs at the Central Accounting Unit, Ministry of Public Works, Fort Street, Kingston.
Persons are required to take along proper identification in order to uplift payment.
