A WOMAN, 24, is the latest to be prosecuted in the Guyana Power & Light (GPL) campaign against illegal consumers. Donette Albert, of Lot 56 West Front Road, Squatting Area, appeared before Magistrate Sueanna Lovell Wednesday, charged with fraudulent divergence of electricity.
She pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which said, on Friday, March 1, at Sophia, also in Greater Georgetown, she fraudulently diverted the current supply to her home.
The defendant was granted $25,000 bail until March 25.
