What’s good for the goose… : –not necessarily good for the gander

EATING according to your blood type is strongly being advocated by Natural Therapist Liesl Dale Headley, especially to people who are having health problems in the form of skin diseases and indigestion.   Headley, who runs a clinic of her own at Lot 1 Station Street, Kitty, believes that people ought to become aware of this information; and she has thus generously provided it to us in a recent interview at the Guyana Chronicle.

The four blood types are A, AB, B, and O, and each person has a digestive system to match the type of blood they have. Hence, as Headley explains, it is imperative that a person adjusts his/her diet to suit his/her blood type.

“You would find that a person whose blood type is O can eat certain foods and get on well, whereas a person whose type is A would not be able to eat the same foods. What might make an A type person well might make a B type person sick,” observed the therapist.

As an example, she cites the suggestion that those in the A group should be vegetarians, since their system does not digest meat as well as people in the O group, for whom a lot of meat would work well.

Furthermore, she said: “The O group should stay away from wheat, because it is like poison. And it’s true, because I can say from my experience that I used a lot of wheat formerly, and I thought that I could never stop. I got bad back pains, vomiting, and a lot of acne of my face. When I came off of wheat, it went, and I lost 15 pounds! I see it happening to so many clients of mine.

“I know that wheat is indeed the poison for any O type. Most in the O group would become susceptible to arthritis, because they keep using (what are) toxins to the body; they keep using what their digestive system can’t deal with.”

As for the B group, Headley says chicken is like poison to such individuals, the same as tomatoes and pumpkin are. “These foods contain an acid that their stomachs cannot digest, so instead of serving as a food, it serves as a poison to them. I believe it like (I believe) the Bible”

Headley strongly recommends eating according to your blood type because she has personally experienced, and seen in her clients, the positive results that this can bring. “You can still have a balanced diet. It’s just that not everything in a food group would be beneficial to a particular blood type. A blood group just does not digest certain things; so you need to find out your blood type and eat accordingly. I believe it like the Bible.”

Headley has all of the information on the guide to eating right, and can provide assistance to a person who wishes to change his/her diet.
“I don’t make it a hard-and-fast rule for persons who are enjoying good health, and especially for younger persons. But once you are encountering a health issue, then you need to find out your blood type, especially if you are overweight, and then we would clean your colon and help you adjust your diet to suit the blood type.

“Anytime my clients follow the suggestions given, they have excellent results, and they become sensitive, so that if they go and eat out of the range, they see what happens and could then understand why it has happened.

“It might be hard to eat the things you are supposed to, but once you start to enjoy better health, and you see the results of better health, then I’m sure you would be willing to make the effort,” Headley said.

Ms Liesl Dale Headley has been exposed to natural medicine since 1996, but became certified in 2008. She can be reached on telephone numbers 231-5500 and 622-6064.
