DANIEL Parris, 18, of Lot 5 Regent Street, Georgetown was remanded to prison yesterday when he appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman on a charge of robbery with aggravation.
Particulars of the offence, to which he pleaded not guilty, stated that, on March 9, he robbed Terrence Wallace of one cell phone, valued $15,000 and, at the time, made use of personal violence on the victim.
Police Sergeant Vishnu Hunt, prosecuting, whose objection to bail was upheld on the basis of prevalence and seriousness of the crime, added that, if the defendant secured the grant, it is likely that he would not return for trial.
The case will be called, again, on March 28.
