SHAWN Jones (no address given) appeared before Magistrate Leron Daley yesterday, charged with assaulting a peace officer, resisting arrest and behaving disorderly.

He pleaded not guilty to all the charges, which stated that, on March 12, he unlawfully assaulted a police constable acting in the execution of his duties, resisted arrest by the same policeman and behaved in a disorderly manner.
Police Corporal Venetta Pindar, prosecuting, did not relate any facts to the court but did not object to bail.
The defendant was ordered to post a total of $80,000 surety and return to court on March 20.
