MARK Persaud (no address given) was put on $10,000 bail yesterday, when he appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry, charged with assaulting his reputed wife, Nicola France.

It was alleged that he committed the offence on January 25.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the couple was involved in a heated argument when the defendant slapped the virtual complainant and she, subsequently, reported the incident.
The case will be called, again, on February 22.
