Nations University holds MBA Public Information Forum today …..Visiting AIB Marketing Director to speak

THE Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Programme offered by Nations University, in collaboration with the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) was recently confirmed as being one of the leading programmes in Australia, by receiving a #3 ranking in the Annual CEO Magazine (UK) MBA ranking publication.

With this ranking, the AIB effectively outperforms almost all other MBA programmes in Australia.  The MBA 2012 review shows that the AIB was outperformed only by the University of Woolongong Sydney Business School which scored 79 points and Macquarie University Graduate School of Management with 76 – just one point above the AIB.
Meanwhile, in the International Graduate Forum (IGF) MBA rankings, the Australian Institute of Business ranked 10th, with the top 10 scoring between 87 and 75 points.
Proud to be associated with AIB, and evidently delighted at receiving such news, Director of Nations University here, Dr, Brian O’Toole, commented that, with alumni from 70 countries, and teaching across five continents, AIB by achieving a global top 10 ranking for its MBA programme, has cemented its position as a leading international business school.
Said Dr. O’Toole, “In addition to AIB’s range of accreditations, memberships and listings, this remarkable ranking further validates the international standing of AIB and the awards it confers.
The International Graduate Forum, designed to give high-potential managers a 360 degree view of the world’s leading business schools, has assessed the performance of MBA providers, based upon certain key performance indicators. Based upon data readily available in the public domain from various benchmarking sources, the IGF has developed a global MBA Table of leading business schools.
The CEO Magazine has assured that schools which were selected for inclusion into the European, North American and Australian MBA ranking tables not only demonstrated the qualities today’s MBA applicants look for. “Such schools it said were and are capable of challenging the established, globally recognized MBA providers.”
Previously, the IGF focused on MBA programmes, but with the growth of its network, both locally and internationally, MSc and undergraduate programmes now fall under the IGF’s assessment remit.
Meanwhile, the Australian Institute of Business (AIB) in collaboration with Nations University will be holding a Public Information Session at Nations University on its 12 month MBA programme today at Nations University, New Market Street.  The session will begin at 18:00 hrs (6pm) and will be addressed by AIB’s Marketing Director, Mr Joel Abraham from Australia.
Dr. Brian O’Toole, Director of Nations University, informs that the partnership that Nations University has with AIB adds to the existing partnerships with other accredited educational institutions worldwide such as: Cambridge University, London University, the Institute of Commercial Management and the Advanced Business Executives.
AIB currently has thousands of current and graduated students in more than 15 centres in 10 locations internationally, which include Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, St Lucia, Malaysia, Singapore, Namibia, Vietnam and England. The MBA is fully accredited within the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) and registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS). AIB is also listed with the International Association of Universities.
The entire MBA can be completed in 12 months and it is the most economical (by far) MBA programme available in the Guyanese market.

Nations University is now set to begin the fourth batch of the MBA programme in March. To date 64 persons have enrolled in the first three batches of the MBA with 20 persons set to Graduate in August this year.  Students come from a diverse range of industries including: banking, insurance companies, ministries, private companies, etc.
Some of the subjects covered in the MBA include; Strategic Management, Strategic Marketing, Corporate Governance, Strategic Operation issues, Financial Policy and New Product Management. The final module is a project.
