MARCALIS Gladstone, 49, of Lot 3 Well Road, North Ruimveldt, Georgetown, appeared before Magistrate Allan Wilson yesterday, charged with break and enter and larceny.

The indictable charge said, between January 12 and 14, he broke and entered the store room of Jailall Kissoon and stole a quantity of carpentry tools valued a total of $76,800, property of Ram Singh.
Defence Counsel Paul Fung-a-Fat, in a successful application for reasonable bail, sad the defendant is not a flight risk and will attend court to clear his name.
The accused was ordered to post $30,000 surety until January 30.
