THE Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the Anna Regina Town Council will be taking strong measures to rid the public road of stray animals. The issue of strays, also in Three Friends to Walton Hall, was raised at the meeting of the Social Development Committee recently by Councillor Rajendra Prabhulall.
After a lively discussion on the matter, it was decided that the matter will be placed on the front burner of Council’s business for 2013.
Councillors agreed the by-laws will be enforced and owners of animals will have to comply.
The animals must not be allowed to roam the public road or graze on the shoulders and the Council is also looking to employ stray catchers.
