HEAD of the Presidential Secretariat (HPS) and Secretary to the Cabinet, Dr. Roger Luncheon was, again, rushed to hospital yesterday morning.

altBut Presidential Adviser on Governance, Ms. Gail Teixeira reported, at a subsequent press conference, that he was admitted a patient and is in a stable condition undergoing further tests.
He is also conscious, Teixeira said, while deputising for him at the usual weekly post-Cabinet media briefing at Office of the President (OP), Shiv Chanderpaul Drive, Georgetown.
“We hope that he will be able to rest and have all of the medical attention required to get to the bottom of what were some of the medical problems he has been encountering over the last few weeks. We wish him all the best and speedy recovery,” she stated.
Earlier this month, Luncheon was admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPH) after suffering a fall at his Stanley Place, Kitty, home, also in the city.
Even though his injury was not life threatening, he had to remain in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) where he was said to be resting comfortably.
OP, in a brief official statement, had said Luncheon’s condition was not serious and that he had to be kept for observation and to conduct a number of tests.
According to the statement, Luncheon had a mishap at his home but still went to work that day, as well as the following day until pains developed and he had to be rushed to the hospital.
