SHERWIN Flitter (no address given) appeared before Chief Magistrate, Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, charged with unlawful assault.

Particulars of the offence alleged that, on December 15, the defendant unlawfully assaulted Candace Westman but he pleaded not guilty.
Police Corporal Vinetta Pindar, prosecuting, said the defendant and virtual complainant share a common law relationship and, that day, they had a misunderstanding, which led to Flitter assaulting the woman.
The defendant was ordered to post $40,000 bail and the case will be called, again, on January 23, 2013.
