ANTHONY Sardinia appeared before Chief Magistrate Priya Sewnarine-Beharry yesterday, on a damage to property charge. He pleaded not guilty to the offence, particulars of which alleged that, last November 27, he damaged one minibus windscreen and mirrors, valued a total of $145,000, property of Leon Mitford (Jnr).
Mitford (no address stated either) was also charged, he with having unlawfully and maliciously wounded Sardinia and he pleaded not guilty.
Police Corporal Kerry Bostwick, prosecuting, said the two men had a heated argument and Mitford hit Sardinia with a piece of wood.
The prosecutor said Sardinia retaliated by breaking the mirrors and windscreen on Mitford’s vehicle.
At the request of the prosecutor, both defendants were placed on a bond to keep the peace until the cases are called again on January 18, 2013.
Meantime, bail for Sardinia was set at $100,000 and $30,000 for Mitford.
