With the sad news out of Venezuela about the re-emergence of cancer afflicting President Hugo Chavez, the Guyana-Venezuela friendship group will be organizing a prayer session tomorrow at 16:30hrs at the Venezuelan institute in New Garden Street. Relations between Guyana and Venezuela have never been so “friendly and cordial,” said a Foreign Ministry official. “President Chavez has been a true friend of the people of Guyana,” commented a society member.
