POLICE are investigating a fatality that occurred on the Good Hope Public Road, East Coast Demerara at about 09:10 hrs on December 05, and resulted in the death of pedestrian Rajdai Beharry, 58, of no fixed place of abode.

Investigations revealed that the driver of motor canter GPP 4465 was in the process of overtaking motor car PLL 135 when he struck down Rajdai Beharry who was walking along the roadway. Beharry was pronounced dead on arrival at the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC).
The drivers of the two motor vehicles are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
